Popular Stand-up Comedian and brand influencer, Bovi Ugboma<\/strong><\/a> has illuminated on his relationship with his senior colleague, Basketmouth.<\/p>\n

During a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Bovi revealed that he’s no longer close with Basketmouth because he decided it’s now time for him to grow his brand and focus more on himself. He stated that there is a limit to how far certain people can take you and time will come when you will have to get up and break more grounds.<\/p>\n

Bovi went ahead to reveal that he and Basketmouth<\/strong> <\/a>are still cool.<\/p>\n

Comparing their past relationship to now, Bovi claimed the period was just a phase which is bygone.<\/p>\n

He stressed that priorities changed as they grow every day and right now he wants to be happy and take care of his family.<\/p>\n

In his words:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know but there was this friendship, this symbiotic friendship but he was more visible because he\u2019s a brand, you put Basketmouth\u2019s name on anything and it\u2019s going.\u00a0\u00a0So I think, over the years, my mission was to become a brand as well, a big one and there\u2019s a stage where brands grow to and the room becomes too small, you\u2019ll have to basically find your way, that now allows room for more people to come on board.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“I decided that you know what, it’s time to grow your brand and focus on you now, so I will take responsibility for my own decision. We are human beings, there will always be skirmishes, I mean it’s always part of pop culture. So I just realize that like I said earlier, the biggest service you can do for yourself is <\/em><\/strong>to push yourself because if you wait for somebody to say, ‘come let me take you’, you might wait forever. I’m not saying that doesn’t happen but there’s also a limit to how far certain people can take you, You have to get up and move to break new grounds.\u201d\u00a0“.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“Me and Basketmouth are still cool but I think that energy was a phase, so now we are unto new phases that’s it for me. Priorities change as we grow every day, right now I just want to be happy, I want to do the things that make me happy and I want to make sure that my immediate consistency is happy which is my family, my children so priorities changed”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
