{"id":144386,"date":"2023-10-04T12:04:24","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T12:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=144386"},"modified":"2023-10-04T12:04:24","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T12:04:24","slug":"the-delay-in-mohbads-autopsy-suggests-possible-foulplay-twitter-doctor-olufunmilayo-reveals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/10\/04\/the-delay-in-mohbads-autopsy-suggests-possible-foulplay-twitter-doctor-olufunmilayo-reveals\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;The delay in Mohbad\u2019s autopsy suggests possible foulplay\u201d Twitter doctor, Olufunmilayo reveals"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Dr Olufunmilayo revealed that the preliminary report based on the physical examination of the body doesn&#8217;t take more than 48 hours to be ready<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He advised the government to clear people&#8217;s suspicion, noting that the more the result is being delayed the more it makes people to believe the police is working behind the scene to cook up a lie<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In a recent tweet, popular Twitter doctor Olufunmilayo has expressed concerns over the delay in conducting an autopsy on the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.<\/p>\n<p>With a growing number of fans eager to uncover the truth behind the unfortunate demise of the talented artist, Olufunmilayo&#8217;s statement suggests the possibility of foul play surrounding Mohbad&#8217;s mysterious death.<\/p>\n<p>Within Nigeria recalls that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/09\/12\/singer-mohbad-reportedly-dies-at-27\/\">Mohbad died on Tuesday, 12th of September, 2023<\/a>, and was buried the following day.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Olufunmilayo blamed the police in his statement for delaying the release of the autopsy findings for so long.<\/p>\n<p>He made a point of stating that preliminary autopsy results are generally accessible within 48 hours of the examination, making the lengthy silence surrounding these results rather puzzling.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Olufunmilayo voiced his amazement at the choice by the government to withhold these findings from the general public.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that this opacity can unintentionally feed the public&#8217;s growing suspicion that the police are working closely with those related to Mohbad&#8217;s tragic death.<\/p>\n<p>On his Twitter page, Dr Olufunmilayo wrote:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>On the Mohbad\u2019s autopsy situation<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>I will write a little piece here and I hope it gets to the right quarters.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The first thing I will state is that the decision of the Lagos state government @followlasg and the police @PoliceNG to delay and withhold the preliminary autopsy results of Mohbad is a HUGE MISTAKE.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>We know the preliminary report is always ready within 48hours- so anybody who is making the decision to delay the release of this report will only give the skeptics and doubters more evidence to say that the police and the Lagos state government are in a possible collusion with the likely killers of Mohbad- if indeed he was killed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Just to re-explain:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>An autopsy is medical examination of the body of a dead person looking at the organs and body parts; but also taking the blood, body fluids and any other substances found in the person\u2019s system. This whole procedure takes 3-4 hours to complete.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Then a preliminary report based on the physical examination of the body is ready within 48 hours while the toxicology analysis of the fluids and blood tests can take up to 6weeks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The police and the Lagos state government should take the path of honor and transparency- by simply releasing the preliminary autopsy report. This will mean and show that the police and the govt are honest, sincere and serious in helping to seek justice for Mohbad.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>As I said earlier:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The silence and delay from the government and the police in releasing the preliminary report will only suggest quite strongly that foulplay is being planned.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>There\u2019s absolutely zero sense in taking a decision that only further deepens the distrust that the public already has in the police and in the government.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Dear @PoliceNG and @followlasg<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The choice is yours:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>You can choose to release the preliminary report now and rescue your already damaged reputation before a public that is already wondering if you are cooking up a lie;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Or you can choose to continue to delay,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>withhold the report and hope that nobody will remember, but let me assure you: you will only succeed in fully confirming to the skeptics that indeed you are not to be trusted and you are potentially corrupted and compromised.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The choice is yours.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>It is not yet too late to do right.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>You can choose honor or dishonour.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Again, the more this report is delayed, The more the public will believe that the government and the police is working behind the scenes to cook up a lie.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>You can do right or you can do nonsense.
