{"id":151317,"date":"2023-12-01T07:12:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T07:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=151317"},"modified":"2023-12-01T07:12:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T07:12:00","slug":"celestial-church-cancels-portable-pasumas-performance-at-praise-night-after-backlash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/12\/01\/celestial-church-cancels-portable-pasumas-performance-at-praise-night-after-backlash\/","title":{"rendered":"Celestial church cancels Portable, Pasuma\u2019s performance at praise night after backlash"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>CCC leader has condemned the viral news about one branch of the church inviting secular musicians to perform.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">This is coming after backlash trailed the news when the event flyer was posted online. <\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>The church also confirmed that Portable and Pasuma would no longer perform at the church<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Shepherd-in-charge of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters, Ketu, Olatosho Oshoffa, has condemned the invitation of Fuji musician Pasuma and street-hop artiste Portable, to the praise night of one of the church branches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There was uproar on social media on Wednesday when an event flyer that revealed that Pasuma and Portable would perform at the church\u2019s praise night in Lagos went viral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Several Nigerians took to social media to condemn the invitation of the secular music artistes to a religious activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Reacting to the poster on his Facebook page, Oshoffa revealed that he had spoken to the cleric in charge of the parish, adding that the said artistes would no longer grace the occasion.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sharing the poster on his Facebook page, he wrote, \u201cDear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd in Charge of the above Parish at length. He has promised to make amendments to the posters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cHe has promised that the said contested artists would NOT come for the Nights. There is No doubt the said poster is very CONDEMNABLE. God bless CCC. Amen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In others news, Akinyanju Omobolarinde, aka <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/11\/29\/portables-actress-wife-ashabi-graduates-from-school-shares-fun-sign-out-video\/\">Ashabi Simple, one of the baby\u00a0mamas of Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, professionally known as Portable has graduated from the higher institution\u00a0of learning.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The mother of one cum movie actress, who got married to the singer a few months ago was excited to have finished\u00a0schooling. She made a video of her signing-out ceremony and posted\u00a0it on social media. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the recording on social media, her classmates were signing on her sleeveless white T-shirt as she danced\u00a0around in jubilation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ashabi and her son wore matching clothes as she carried him to take pictures.
