{"id":151400,"date":"2023-12-01T16:30:50","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T16:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=151400"},"modified":"2023-12-01T16:30:50","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T16:30:50","slug":"ay-clears-the-air-on-viral-joke-he-made-about-davidos-preek-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/12\/01\/ay-clears-the-air-on-viral-joke-he-made-about-davidos-preek-video\/","title":{"rendered":"AY clears the air on viral joke he made about Davido\u2019s \u2018preek\u2019 [VIDEO]"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>AY has finally broken his silence regarding a joke about Davido that many of his fans didn\u2019t find funny at the time.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">The comedian had weeks back, spoken about the musician impregnating different women despite having a small manhood. <\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Stating that the timing wasn\u2019t right, AY explained that he made the joke on tour but when the video went viral much later, it wasn\u2019t well received because of another trending issue regarding Amaju Pinnick.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Popular comedian, filmmaker and actor, AY Makun has finally, spoken on his viral joke about Davido that earned him backlash from the singer\u2019s fans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Recall that in a viral video, AY took the stage and made a sensitive joke about Davido&#8217;s ability to impregnate women despite having a small manhood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It happened that during the Warri stop of AY&#8217;s tour, he cracked a joke when he was introduced as a guest artiste during the event, with Davido\u2019s viral hit song \u2018Unavailable\u2019. He stated that if the singer was not \u2018available\u2019 as claimed in the hit song and women were getting impregnated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/12\/01\/davidos-vehicle-collection-worth-over-n75-billion-sparks-uproar-israel-dmw-reacts\/\">Davido<\/a> in such numbers, what would happen if the singer was actually \u2018available\u2019?.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He jokingly mentioned Davido having multiple babies with multiple women with his <\/span><span class=\"s2\">&#8220;small preek&#8221;<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> whereas he struggled for 13 years to conceive again with his own wife. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The words said by the comedian at the event were believed to have developed after the 30 BG boss was called out by various women on social media in the middle of the year for allegedly getting them pregnant while he was married to his wife Chioma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a recent interview with Toke Makinwa, AY revealed that he had told the joke to an audience during his tour, and it was well-received and one of the funniest amongst a set of jokes he made. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">However, he added that when the video went viral, the reception was different and ill-timed because it was at a point when Amaju Pinnick called out Davido over a debt. AY added that although Davido reacted positively to the joke, it didn&#8217;t stop his fans, who see themselves as his messiah and defender, from attacking him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He also said that sensationalism, the wicked headlines bloggers slammed on it and the fact that Nigerians do not investigate before reacting, blew the joke out of proportion. He said in part:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI <\/span><span class=\"s2\">did a tour and I made a joke on David, it was one of the funniest of the set but when the joke came back home it was already stale. It was a trend at the time so that people could connect with it so it was making sense.
