{"id":164083,"date":"2024-03-16T13:07:06","date_gmt":"2024-03-16T13:07:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=164083"},"modified":"2024-03-16T13:07:06","modified_gmt":"2024-03-16T13:07:06","slug":"why-being-faithful-in-marriage-is-hard-veteran-actor-richard-mofe-damijo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/03\/16\/why-being-faithful-in-marriage-is-hard-veteran-actor-richard-mofe-damijo\/","title":{"rendered":"Why being faithful in marriage is hard \u2013 veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>RMD has confessed that keeping a woman\u2019s advances at bay as a married man is quite difficult.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">The actor made the claim during a recent interview with colleague, Teju Babyface. <\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">RMD said that most women target married men, particularly celebrities, just because, and it makes it hard to stay faithful.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nigerian movie star, producer and lawyer, Richard Mofe Damijo has claimed that being faithful in marriage is very hard.<\/p>\n<p>RMD, as the veteran thespian is widely referred to, made the admittance to comedian, show host and actor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/03\/11\/actors-who-venture-into-politics-not-real-actors-funsho-adeolu-shades-colleagues\/\">Teju Oyelakin aka Teju Babyface<\/a> on one of the episodes of his podcast, <em>TejuBabyface DeepDive.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Teju had asked if it was hard being faithful in marriage and RMD responded in the affirmative, saying it is hard especially for entertainers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">RMD said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cIt is hard (to be faithful in marriage) because if you are in the line of work that we are in it is very hard because let\u2019s face it, everyone of us that is married, we are the target.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cI mean look at how women are. How can you escape it? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">&#8220;Women are like Delilah, they are like Jezebels, they prepare and the only way you can perpetuate the real intentions of the enemy is to constantly aim at the image of God or the symbol of authority in any home. You shoot it down, it\u2019s like being a general or a commander in a battlefield, you drop him and the battalion scatters.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Continuing, RMD added<\/span><span class=\"s2\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cIt\u2019s very difficult and you have to get to a point where your wife understands what she\u2019s up against as well because if your wife is not up to speed on what she\u2019s up against, then your flanks would be left open. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">&#8220;So, if there\u2019s no harmony on that field.. I saw TD Jakes speak about this and I was so impressed. He said if you wanna know who\u2019s got my back, jump me. It spoke to me and for me, that is what defines my life. You can\u2019t touch my family and if I can react the way I react if you touch my family, then my family is got to be able to react the same way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The connection between RMD and Teju began on the set of Tade Ogidan\u2019s hit film, \u2018Diamond Ring,\u2019 which features both as father and son with Sola Sobowale playing the role of a wife and mum.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RMD has confessed that keeping a woman\u2019s advances at bay as a married man is quite difficult.
