Filmmaker Seun Oloketuyi broke the news, which was later confirmed by one of Jumoke&#8217;s cousins.<\/p>\n<p>Funke Akindele, who had previously cast Jumoke in her popular TV series &#8220;<em>Jenifa&#8217;s Diary<\/em>,&#8221; took to her Instagram story to express her sadness and offer condolences.<\/p>\n<p>However, her actions didn&#8217;t sit well with Jumoke&#8217;s brother, who accused Funke of hypocrisy, referring to her public display of grief as &#8220;<em>eye service<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a Yoruba-language, he wrote: &#8220;<strong><em>Aye &amp; camera. To ba ri won kosa,&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> which translates to &#8220;<strong><em>All for show and cameras; where were you when she was alive?&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p>He further revealed that Jumoke had attempted to reach out to Funke several times, even sending another protege of Funke Akindele, Paschaline Alex, to her. Despite these efforts, Funke did not respond to Jumoke&#8217;s calls before her untimely death.<\/p>\n<p>The brother questioned why Funke is now showing fake love when it&#8217;s too late. He also gave credit to Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga for their genuine support during this difficult time.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cYou wey dey call tire, wey no turn-up. She even sent Pascal to you, you still no reach out!<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>Why the eye service now wetin she don kpai?<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><em>Omo! Shout-out to Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga \u201c <\/em><\/strong>he wrote<strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Late Jumoke had earlier opened up on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2021\/04\/04\/how-my-stature-became-a-big-challenge-for-my-acting-career-jumoke-aderounmu\/\">how her stature became a big challenge for her acting caree<\/a>r.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with Sunday Scoop, the actress said, <strong><em>\u201cI used to be bothered about my small stature when I started acting. It was a big challenge for me to get roles at that time because some producers complained about my look.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cThey used to tell me that I did not look the path. However, over the years, that has stopped. The latest job I got was because of my stature.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI am now comfortable in my skin and it is my selling point.
