The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, told Ms DSF that he couldn&#8217;t pursue a relationship with her because she hadn&#8217;t grown up in a &#8220;two-parent household.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_170895\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-170895\" style=\"width: 688px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-170895\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-11-065549.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"688\" height=\"1057\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-11-065549.png 488w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-11-065549-195x300.png 195w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-170895\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ms DSF.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In her poignant recounting of the encounter, Ms DSF expressed her disbelief and hurt, questioning whether she could be held accountable for circumstances beyond her control.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The most craziest thing that someone has ever said to me was when I told a guy that I lost my mum as a child and he said he could never date me. He said that he can\u2019t date someone who wasn\u2019t raised in a two-parent household. And I get that but could I have prevented my mum from dying? Is that my fault?,&#8221; <\/em>Ms DSF said.<\/p>\n<p>Moet Abebe, one of the podcast hosts, empathized with Fapson&#8217;s experience, revealing that she, too, had encountered similar judgment from potential suitors.<\/p>\n<p>Abebe recounted how a suitor rejected her because he had been raised by a single parent and preferred not to have a partner with a similar upbringing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>I can relate because someone has also told me that before. The reason was because he was also raised by a single parent. So, according to him, he didn\u2019t want a child from someone with a similar upbringing.
