Kanayo has sparked a conversation by sharing his views on monogamy<\/p>\n<p>In a recent episode of &#8220;<em>The Honest Bunch<\/em>&#8221; podcast, Kanayo declared that he doesn&#8217;t subscribe to the idea of monogamy, citing its cultural incompatibility with African heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Kanayo&#8217;s preference for polygamy is rooted in his belief that monogamy is a foreign concept imposed upon African societies.<\/p>\n<p>Kanayo also disclosed that the concept of divorce was unfamiliar to him until he relocated to Lagos from the South East.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that, in Igbo culture, divorce is viewed as a last resort, and that men would rather persevere in their marriage than opt for separation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>I don\u2019t believe in one wife. It is not our culture. It is not our tradition. It is not who we are. These are imported things.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;I never knew anything about divorce until we came to Lagos.
