She needs time for her brain to become familiar with the song, allowing her to overcome her nerves.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_179411\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-179411\" style=\"width: 720px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-179411\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/07\/Screenshot_20240717-090330.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/07\/Screenshot_20240717-090330.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/07\/Screenshot_20240717-090330-269x300.jpg 269w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-179411\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Singer Simi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Simi shared a clip of herself rehearsing a song from her latest album, &#8216;<em>Lost And Found<\/em>&#8216;, and explained that repetition is key to building her confidence.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong><em>The first few times I have to perform a new song (any song) live on stage is like trying on a new pair of shoes that needs adjustments.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI don\u2019t know why that is. Lol. Maybe it\u2019s cos I have a history with pretty bad stage fright. Now I have to give my brain time to bond with the song so it can learn to disregard me and my nerves.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;Anyway this night, I kept rehearsing this song (maybe overly so), because it was my first time performing it on stage and of course the nerves came. But I have one or two more to go until I get out of the way and my brain takes over lol.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Simi had earlier opened up on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/07\/17\/why-i-only-listen-to-my-husband-adekunle-golds-songs-simi\/\">why she only listens to her husband, Adekunle Gold\u2019s songs\u00a0<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Appearing on the \u2018Zero Conditions\u2019 podcast, she explained that she only listens to Gold\u2019s music because they are married. Simi said:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI don\u2019t listen to anybody\u2019s music, the reason I listen to my husband\u2019s songs is because I\u2019m married to him.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI like Post Malone\u2019s first album \u2018Beerbongs &amp; Bentleys\u2019. love J.Cole. I don\u2019t listen to anybody\u2019s music. Nothing changed. I just don\u2019t know.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI don\u2019t really listen to anybody\u2019s music. The reason I\u2019m listening to my album now is because it just came out.
