During an appearance on the <em>Zero Conditions Podcast<\/em>, he discussed the impact of poor financial planning and reckless spending habits among artists, particularly during their peak years.<\/p>\n<p>DJ Neptune highlighted that many artists fail to recognize that fame is often temporary, leading them to spend extravagantly without considering their future. He shared an example: \u201cArtists feel fame is forever; that\u2019s why some of them, while at their peak, don\u2019t save their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2022\/01\/30\/how-ill-invest-gulder-ultimate-search-prize-money-winner-odudu\/\">money<\/a>; they don\u2019t invest. I was with somebody the other day, and the person was saying these artists collect advance payments and then go buy a Benz. Is that not your future you\u2019re driving?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He reflected on this statement, describing it as &#8220;deep&#8221; and a reality check for music industry professionals. DJ Neptune emphasized the importance of making smart financial decisions, advising artists to invest in assets or side businesses to create long-term stability. He noted that only a few artists are able to sustain their careers for more than five to ten years, making financial planning even more crucial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why I tell some of my colleagues to invest your money while you are on top.
