{"id":188222,"date":"2024-09-20T07:45:08","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T07:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=188222"},"modified":"2024-09-20T07:45:08","modified_gmt":"2024-09-20T07:45:08","slug":"adunni-ade-faces-legal-threat-from-dispatch-driver-over-undelivered-package","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/09\/20\/adunni-ade-faces-legal-threat-from-dispatch-driver-over-undelivered-package\/","title":{"rendered":"Adunni Ade faces legal threat from dispatch driver over undelivered package"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>A dispatch driver has threatened to take legal action against movie actress, Adunni Ade.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">It all started when the movie star took to Instagram to share the driver\u2019s photo for allegedly absconding with her goods.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The conflict between actress Adunni Ade and Indrive cab driver Francis Njoku has intensified, with Njoku threatening to take legal action against her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The issue began on September 18 when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/09\/19\/adunni-ade-calls-out-dispatch-rider-for-disappearing-with-her-goods\/\">Adunni accused Njoku of taking her package and refusing to deliver it. <\/a><\/span><span class=\"s1\">She called him out on Instagram, sparking widespread attention and outrage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">After Indrive intervened, locking Njoku\u2019s profile, the package was delivered later that night to the sender, according to Adunni.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">However, the driver responded slamming Adunni Ade for damaging his reputation. Njoku claimed Ade\u2019s post smeared his name, stating<\/span><span class=\"s2\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cYou have made nonsense of my image and I have contacted my legal team and we\u2019ll see you in court. You are not the person who requested the ride. Many human rights activists and lawyers have called me and think I won\u2019t let it go that way. She maintained her innocence, emphasising commitment to honesty. Adunni wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cOne thing about me is I do not lie nor cheat my fellow being. When we speak of change, let that change start with you! With the current economic state, everyone is doing what they can to stay afloat irrespective of your finances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSlide 1-3 the messages I got from Francis Njoku this morning from a different #<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSlide 4-7 shows when he called me, when I issued access code to gain entry and also when I called to ask of his whereabouts and also to ask why he ended the trip and recorded as delivered. He hung up on me which I called back to question why he would hang up on me. I specifically asked if I had treated him wrongly or spoken to him out of line to which he responded \u201cbecause I\u2019m telling you the sender imputed the wrong address and you don\u2019t want to listen\u201d I told him it would be difficult to believe him as I was a constant customer and she has sent my orders for years with no issues. I asked why he ended the trip as \u201cdelivered \u201c This was when all hell broke loose. He rambled some more, called me names, asked if I was feeding him? And also for me to come find him and collect the package in a sarcastic manner. I simply ended the call and contacted the designer.<br \/>\n\u201cSlide 8-14 conversation between the designer and Francis Njoku after she learnt he never delivered to me but recorded the trip as delivered on his end. At some point he called to tell the sender she imputed the wrong address that I was at a different location. He requested she should add additional 1,500 before he would agree to complete the request but because she said she could only round up to 5k, he ended the trip and left with my package.
