And recently, Ufuoma was diagnosed with the 4th stage of the disease which is the final stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the short clip shared online, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/04\/04\/scar-junior-ufuoma-mcdermott-others-react-as-chidi-mokemes-son-confronts-him-over-fake-dollars\/\">Ufuoma McDermott who had been private on social media<\/a> following her ordeals, revealed how she was down during the process. She expressed her wish to live long for the sake of her children. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to her, she defied her doctor\u2019s instructions to rest and went about her job. After the warning, the actress\u2019s health depreciated and she couldn\u2019t move for 6 months. Sharing a clip from the interview, Chude wrote on Instagram: <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cFirst, she lost her younger brother to chronic kidney disease. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Then last year, Ufuoma McDermott was also diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease \u2013 after battling with it for 12 years. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She was told to slow down at work and rest. But she thought she had more time and negotiated with her doctors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That delay turned out to be costly. She was shortly diagnosed of Stage 4 kidney disease. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Stage 4. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">That\u2019s the final stage. And she says it was a result of drug abuse \u2013 ingesting too many painkillers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thus began a battle for her life, where there was zero room for error. For 6 months, she couldn\u2019t move. She couldn\u2019t work. She couldn\u2019t add weight.
