He wrote:<\/p>\n<p><em> \u201cI love you, brother, and I miss you, Dimeji Ajibola. May God heal your family and loved ones. Till we meet again, didi dox, rest on the champ.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dimeji Ajibola was celebrated for his impactful contributions to the Nollywood film industry, particularly for directing the 2023 crime thriller series <em>Shanty Town<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>He also garnered acclaim for his earlier work on <em>Hoodrush<\/em>, a 2012 urban musical film that received multiple awards and recognition.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, <span class=\"s1\">Popular Nigerian filmmaker cum movie actress, Ini Edo, has lost the ownership rights of the hit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/08\/09\/ini-edo-loses-shanty-town-ownership-legal-battle-to-chinenye-nworah\/\"><strong>Netflix series \u2018Shanty Town\u2019 to filmmaker, Chinenye Nworah.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Ini Edo and Minini Empire Productions Limited, MEP, had in January 2024, filed a double intellectual property petition against Chinenye Nworah and her production company \u2018Giant Creative Media Limited\u2019, GCM over trademark rights of the popular Netflix series, Shanty Town.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the petition, the movie actress sought to claim ownership of the trademarks and copyrights linked with \u2018Shanty Town.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">However, in a huge legal victory for Chinenye Nworah and GCM, her production company, the Nigerian Copyright Commission, NCC and the Nigerian Trademark Registry <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/08\/09\/ini-edo-loses-shanty-town-ownership-legal-battle-to-chinenye-nworah\/\">ruled against Ini Edo&#8230;<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nollywood director Dimeji Ajibola has passed away on November 3, 2024, after a battle with an undisclosed illness.
