This chance encounter ultimately led to his first movie role after a lengthy period of auditioning.<\/p>\n<p>Nonso Diobi reflected on the experience, stating that Hilda Dokubo&#8217;s observation of their resemblance led to him being offered the role without even auditioning for it.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in a recent episode of the \u2018Nollywood Hardcore\u2019 podcast, Nonso Diobi said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong><em>Back to the story of how I got my first movie role. I was at an audition and I started hearing people calling me from afar. I approached. Before I could get close to them, Hilda Dokubo said, \u2018This young boy looks like me. He can play my brother.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cThat was how I finally got my first role after three years and more than 1000 auditions. I didn\u2019t even audition for it.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In another news, Nonso Diobi opens up on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2023\/06\/07\/why-i-disappeared-from-nollywood-nonso-diobi-opens-up-in-new-interview-video\/\">why he disappeared from Nollywood\u00a0<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nonso Diobi, during a new interview with Hip Tv, explained why he took some time away and disappeared from the movie scene.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, he left the movie scene to brush up his knowledge in acting.
