However, following her divorce, she faced intense scrutiny and criticism, with many blaming her for the breakdown of her marriage.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_199784\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-199784\" style=\"width: 720px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-199784\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/12\/Screenshot_20241216-143113.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"652\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/12\/Screenshot_20241216-143113.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/12\/Screenshot_20241216-143113-300x272.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-199784\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tiwa Savage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The singer noted that the public&#8217;s reaction was particularly challenging, as she was dealing with the emotional aftermath of her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/12\/12\/tiwa-savage-breaks-the-internet-with-revelation-about-her-failed-relationships-sx-toys-orgasm-in-new-clip\/\">divorce<\/a>, as well as postpartum depression and body changes.<\/p>\n<p>Tiwa Savage reflected on how this experience taught her to prioritize her own well-being and to be cautious about sharing her personal life with the public.<\/p>\n<p>In her words:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>When I came out, I was Nigeria&#8217;s sweetheart when I started and I could do no wrong in Nigerian&#8217;s eyes. I did everything by the books, I did everything by the books, you know, I went to university and I wasn&#8217;t a baby mama. I got married then I had a baby so I did everything in the right order and everybody loved me and then everything happened.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;Then I started getting hate from blogs and I started getting hate from certain people. And that&#8217;s how our situation happened, he actually announced it online. I didn&#8217;t break up with him but I was the one being attacked and I my baby was just a few months old and I was dealing with postpartum and my body wasn&#8217;t the same and I was really depressed. Everyone then went to him and only few people came to see me.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;After I did an interview to tell my side of the story, it got worse. People were like &#8216;How dare you go and talk&#8217; &#8216;You&#8217;re a woman and you&#8217;re supposed to build the house, it&#8217;s your fault.'&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;I remember famous people calling me to ask how I could tell my side of the story cuz I&#8217;d never win.
