She kindly noted that the statement \u201cWithout expecting a gift or inducement at the box office to buy our tickets, you\u2019ve stood by us, and we are deeply grateful\u201d was aimed at appreciating those who watched the movie without demanding a gift.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The multiple award-winning actress disclosed that reports from her colleagues who met with fans at the cinemas were not encouraging. She wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI have seen many messages suggesting that my post about the three-day box office performance of Alakada: Bad and Boujee was intended as shade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Please, that is not true. I am genuinely appreciative of those who have been watching the movie in cinemas without receiving any gifts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">People hosting meet-and-greet events for me have been coming back with feedback that some people are asking for gifts before watching the movie, while some are watching without asking for any incentives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The movie itself is a gift of love and hard work, and parked with quality entertainment.<br \/>\nTherefore, reaching the milestone of \u20a658 million in sales in just three days is a true testament to the love and support of those I couldn\u2019t give anything to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thanking them sincerely is my goal, not shading anyone and once again, thank you for seeing my movie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On Monday, December 21, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/12\/24\/toyin-abrahams-alakada-bad-and-boujee-rakes-in-n58m-in-first-weekend-at-box-office\/\">Toyin Abraham in a lengthy post thanked her fans for wholeheartedly supporting her new project.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The announcement roused the hope of her supporters, who believed she could reach the one billion landmark with her release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the post, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/12\/24\/toyin-abrahams-alakada-bad-and-boujee-rakes-in-n58m-in-first-weekend-at-box-office\/\">Abraham was accused of throwing shade at those who entice their fans with gifts at the cinema.
