on her struggles. <\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s2\">Dayo Amusa shared how she suffered miscarriages, failed IVFs, health complications, was recommended to have her womb removed by doctors, cheated on by her lovers and so much more before her bundle of joy arrived.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nigerian actress, Dayo Amusa has opened up about the challenges she faced on her journey to motherhood, both physically and emotionally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">WITHIN NIGERIA reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/11\/18\/dayo-amusa-welcomes-baby-boy-in-the-us\/\">Dayo Amusa welcomed her child, Oluwafirewamiri, in the United States on 18th November 2024.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a series of detailed posts on her Instagram account on Tuesday, December 31, just hours before the new year, the actress revealed how she overcame three miscarriages, personal setbacks, and a diagnosis of uterine myomatosis in 2015.<br \/>\nShe recounted that following her diagnosis, some doctors advised her to have her womb removed due to recurring complications and debilitating menstrual pain.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_60666\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-60666\" style=\"width: 828px\" class=\"wp-caption 828px) 100vw, 828px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-60666\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dayo Amusa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Refusing to give up on her dream of motherhood, Amusa sought alternative treatments and eventually travelled to the United Kingdom, where she underwent surgery to remove the tumours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She continued that in 2016, she discovered that one of her fallopian tubes was damaged, making natural conception nearly impossible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The actress noted that the struggles persisted in 2019, as a failed IVF attempt and further heartbreak caused her relationship to collapse when her partner proposed having a child with someone else.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She revealed that these setbacks left her frustrated and depressed, causing her to withdraw from family, friends, and her career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She credited her mother for recognising her deteriorating mental health and encouraging her to relocate to the United States in 2021 for a fresh start.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Reflecting on her journey, Amusa expressed gratitude to God and those who supported her during her trials.<br \/>\nSharing her testimony in lengthy Instagram posts, she wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s3\">\u201cI never thought I would get to this moment but GOD knew.<br \/>\n&#8220;For as long as I can remember I knew I wanted to be a complete idea woman ( a wife and mom ).<br \/>\n&#8220;Having had 3 miscarriages, in 2015, I was diagnosed with uterine myomatosis, and some doctors recommended removing my womb due to the complications and discomfort i experience every month during my menstrual cycle. I decided to fight and reject that option. I was on medications, injections and treatments to stop the growth of tumors until my uncle\u2019s wife advised I come to uk for treatment.<br \/>\n&#8220;14th of Feb. 2015, I had the surgery to remove the tumor via TCRE Laparoscopy dye ovarian drilling procedure as I was really afraid of being open\u2026 In 2016 myself and my then partner decided to try again as we were so eager to welcome our 1st child together but later discovered one of my tubes was broken and it would be almost impossible to get pregnant naturally\u2026 Men as men, my then partner was involved with another woman unknown to me which produced a baby boy. After so many ups and downs, back and forth, na so the whole thing ended (Story for another day)<br \/>\n&#8220;Fast forward Jan 2019 Myself and my supposed husband kept trying to no avail and then we decided to try IVF but yet all efforts were negative outcome. My supposed husband was really impatient with me, He was over 40yrs old and was insisting on having a child that year. He proposed if I could allow him to get someone else pregnant while am waiting on my miracle baby and when I couldn\u2019t live with that, he walked away and ofcourse, got someone else pregnant months later and that produced him a baby girl.<br \/>\n&#8220;I became frustrated and very sad. I withdrew and isolated myself, I lost my purpose and loose interest in almost everything that matters to me even distance myself from my family and friends. My career suffered the most as I gradually lose focus and interest in my passion. I ran into my shell battling with depression for many years.<br \/>\n&#8220;All these time, my mum (my world) would suggest I relocate to the United States or the United Kingdom. She would advise I have a change of environment and breathe new soil as it was obvious I wasn\u2019t living the life anymore instead life was leaving me. She once bought me the full return ticket as I\u2019ve not been working and was financially unstable as at then.
