{"id":202491,"date":"2025-01-06T15:10:32","date_gmt":"2025-01-06T15:10:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=202491"},"modified":"2025-01-06T15:10:32","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T15:10:32","slug":"police-shot-at-me-almost-totalled-my-car-music-producer-adey-cries-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2025\/01\/06\/police-shot-at-me-almost-totalled-my-car-music-producer-adey-cries-out\/","title":{"rendered":"Police shot at me, almost totalled my car \u2013 Music producer, Adey cries out"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>Music producer Adey has accused the Nigerian police of almost unaliving him when he had a recent encounter with them.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Not sharing details, he simply claimed their reason was because he tried to kill them. <\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Expressing frustration, Adey lamented police brutality, adding that the angels that protect him are stronger than the officers.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Afrobeats producer, Adegboyega Ikwue Ogunlesi, also known as Adey, has claimed he was shot at during an encounter with Nigeria Police operatives in Lagos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to him, the officers who shot at him claimed he tried to kill them on the highway on Monday, January 6.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He claimed that the officers nearly damaged his car by seizing the steering wheel and steering him into a ditch. On his X handle, he wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cNigerian police shot at me today, claimed I tried to kill them, and almost totalled my car by grabbing the steering wheel and driving me into a ditch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cNo wahala.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In another post, the music producer lamented that he was tired of Nigeria and the police brutality in the country. He added:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cBro this man shot at me and grabbed my steering wheel to try and total my car on Ikorodu road while I was driving!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I\u2019m so tired of this. So tired of naij. So tired of Nigerian police.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sharing same post on Instagram, Adey added:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cYou will not kill me<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">My Guardian angels are stronger<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Son of a strong man.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Lagos State Police Command has not yet responded to the allegations.
