February 19 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Prime Boy has filed a lawsuit against Mohbad&#8217;s mother, Abosede Adeyemo, for alleged defamation.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, Abosede made libelous and malicious remarks about Prime Boy in a video interview on March 28, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The document stated that these comments made by Mohbad&#8217;s mom, were published in several news outlets and allegedly damaged his reputation.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit, filed at the High Court of Lagos state, Ikeja, on February 12, 2025, stated that Abosede&#8217;s comments were designed to defame Prime Boy in the eyes of right-thinking members of the society.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_208391\" id=\"caption-attachment-208391\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Prime Boy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Prime Boy is seeking N50 million in damages for the alleged defamation<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong><em>N50 million in damages for libelous, injurious, falsehood, and malicious statements made on the 28th of March, 2024, to defame the claimant in the eyes of right-thinking members of society&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>, his statement reads in part.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-208392\" ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/10\/19\/primeboy-sues-nigerian-police-for-declaring-him-wanted\/\">Primeboy sued Nigerian Police for declaring him wanted<\/a> over Mohbad&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p>The legal action was initiated at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on October 11, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This legal move follows the Lagos State Police Command\u2019s declaration of Primeboy as wanted on October 4, 2023, due to his failure to respond to police invitations related to the ongoing investigation into Mohbad\u2019s tragic death.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the declaration, Primeboy voluntarily reported to the police the day after the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released by his attorney, Akinpelu Ogunbona, Primeboy seeks a court order to have his name removed from the wanted list.<\/p>\n<p>He argues that the special police bulletin branding him as wanted infringes on his right to dignity and respect as an individual.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrimeboy has sued the police via an originating motion filed on October 11 before the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His requests to the court include a declaration that the special police gazette bulletin issued by the office of the IGP declaring Primeboy wanted was a contravention of Primeboy\u2019s right to respect for the dignity of his human person.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlso, Primeboy requested the court to delist his name from the wanted list amongst other requests,\u201d Ogunbona
