{"id":209512,"date":"2025-03-01T18:04:30","date_gmt":"2025-03-01T18:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=209512"},"modified":"2025-03-01T18:04:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-01T18:04:30","slug":"2babas-divorce-saga-teebillz-makes-u-turn-apologizes-for-putting-toke-makinwa-on-blast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2025\/03\/01\/2babas-divorce-saga-teebillz-makes-u-turn-apologizes-for-putting-toke-makinwa-on-blast\/","title":{"rendered":"2Baba\u2019s divorce saga: Teebillz makes u-turn, apologizes for putting Toke Makinwa on blast"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong>Teebillz has publicly apologized to media personality Toke Makinwa for his past remarks against her.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">In a message shared on social media, Teebillz admitted that he had acted out of character and jumped to conclusions, attributing his actions to his deep admiration for music legend 2Face Idibia and his wife, Annie Idibia.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">The talent manager acknowledged that his actions mirrored the very behavior he had previously criticized her for.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Talent manager and Tiwa Savage\u2019s estranged husband, Tunji Balogun, also known as Teebillz, has apologised to media personality Toke Makinwa for criticising her comments regarding the divorce saga of 2Baba and Annie Idibia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Recall that Toke Makinwa was among the first set of celebrities to react to the separation and divorce announcement made by 2Baba on Sunday night, January 26, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2025\/01\/27\/2baba-you-should-be-ashamed-of-yourself-toke-makinwa-fumes-over-singers-public-divorce-announcement\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Makinwa had told 2Baba to be prepared to contend with her and others for daring to publicize his separation and ongoing divorce proceedings with Annie.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Her comments didn\u2019t sit down well with Teebillz, who issued a stern warning to her to back off people\u2019s family dynamics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The talent manager stated that Makinwa was yet to attain the level of forgiveness and love that other women who have children for their partners have reached. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The post sent shock waves across social media, and many believed it could potentially affect the duo\u2019s relationship, especially as Makinwa is friends with Teebillz\u2019s ex-wife, Tiwa Savage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a twist of event, Teebillz took to his Instagram page on Saturday, March 1 to apologise to Toke Makinwa, admitting that he overreacted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He explained that he acted out of character because of his love for 2Face and Annie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He also expressed readiness to privately apologise to the media personality and settle their differences. Teebillz wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cMy sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed. I honestly acted out of character bcos of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and lack of understanding of the current occurrences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI hope you spare my ignorance. Hopefully I get the chance to privately apologise to sort our differences. My action was exactly what I accused you of.
