He emphasized that their struggle with childlessness never threatened their marriage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When asked about the challenges in their relationship, Gloria simply responded, <em>\u201cI was childless for seven years, Norbert.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/03\/IMG_1658.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-209655\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/03\/IMG_1658.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"415\" height=\"738\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/03\/IMG_1658.jpeg 415w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/03\/IMG_1658-169x300.jpeg 169w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Norbert said: <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI didn\u2019t see it as a challenge, you see, because I kept telling her, \u2018What are you worried about? What is it? Be calming down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cHow can I see it as a challenge? I had a sister who was married for 16 years without a child, and on the 17th year, she had a child.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cHer husband never told her to leave. That child today is a medical doctor\u2014a big man too. So what\u2019s the big deal? It didn\u2019t threaten our union at all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gloria said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"s1\"> \u201cHe never did. But I was the one feeling it, and I was the one seeing things. And he was the one telling me, \u2018What is it? Stop worrying about such things.\u2019 However, nobody in his family ever asked about it but they did in my family.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2024\/03\/19\/3-reasons-actresses-are-earn-more-than-their-male-counterparts-in-nollywood-norbert-young\/\">Norbert<\/a> confirmed her anxiety, saying, \u201c<em>She was anxious about it\u2014being childless for that long. Like I said, it wasn\u2019t a challenge for me, but it was for her. As a couple, it was challenging, but personally, I didn\u2019t see it that way.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gloria, however, shared her anxiety and the societal pressure she faced, particularly from relatives who would stare at her stomach during family gatherings, silently inquiring about her childlessness. She said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI would go to my own family gatherings, and not asking per se, but imagine you\u2019re walking into the room, and one aunty looks at you\u2014makes sure that you know she\u2019s looking at you\u2014then her eyes go down to your stomach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAnd as you walk away, her eyes are still there. What is she telling you? Like, \u2018How far na? E don tey oh! E don pass one, two, three\u2026\u2019 Without saying a word.
