The fasting exercise began on Friday, 28 February 2025, as Muslims around the world seek the face of Allah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The singer referred to a rule in Islamic religion noting that if a person forgetfully eats or drinks while fasting, their fast is still valid. Reports claim that Naira Marley\u2019s statement is rooted in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/09\/naira-marley-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-142490\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/09\/naira-marley-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"316\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/09\/naira-marley-1.png 316w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/09\/naira-marley-1-250x300.png 250w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 316px) 100vw, 316px\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The controversial music executive reminded Muslims not to be harsh on themselves if they unintentionally break their fast before time. He went on to encourage them to continue fasting for the rest of the day. He wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIf somebody eats or drinks forgetfully, then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk was given to him by Allah.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Naira Marley\u2019s message spurred conflicting reactions from both Muslims and other religions, as well as backlash over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2025\/03\/03\/wunmi-aloba-hits-back-as-mohbads-friend-spending-accuses-widow-of-lying-about-singers-final-moments\/\">Mohbad\u2019s death<\/a>.
