A move she described as <\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u201c<em>unlawful and professionally reckless.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While the court found no evidence of homicide, it stressed that the unlicensed treatment directly contributed to the singer\u2019s sudden death.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_213939\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-213939\" style=\"width: 658px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-213939\" src=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/07\/IMG_7824.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"658\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/07\/IMG_7824.jpeg 658w, https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/07\/IMG_7824-300x212.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 658px) 100vw, 658px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-213939\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mohbad<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Asides the Nurse, the court also criticized Mohbad\u2019s father for <\/span><span class=\"s2\">hastily burying his son<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> without proper documentation, saying it obstructed investigations. The coroner questioned his motives and noted that cultural reasons shouldn\u2019t override legal procedures, especially in a suspicious death involving a young, healthy adult.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mohbad\u2019s partner, Omowunmi, was also faulted for <\/span><span class=\"s2\">failing to act decisively<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> during the singer\u2019s medical emergency and remaining silent until after public pressure mounted. Though her emotional state was acknowledged, the court said she bore \u201c<em>moral responsibility<\/em>\u201d for not insisting on a proper autopsy or investigation before the burial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Additionally, the court ordered a probe into the <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Nigeria Police Force\u2019s inaction<\/span><span class=\"s1\"> regarding a petition filed by Mohbad before his death and urged the Human Rights Commission to look into reports of harassment and intimidation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Legal counsels from both Mohbad\u2019s family and his wife\u2019s team agreed with the recommendations, with the next step being the implementation and possible prosecutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2025\/03\/06\/last-warning-mohbads-widow-wunmi-fumes-over-verydarkmans-persistent-attack\/\">Mohbad<\/a>, aged 26, died on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances after being treated by the nurse at home.
