The mother of one wrote:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cIf I could sing ehn, una for don Dey sick of me&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Like you don&#8217;t even understand, Likkeeeeeeeeeeee who is Tiwa? Who is Whitney, who is cece winas? Taaaaahhhhhhh\ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">But she didn\u2019t stop there. She released two singles, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cHi\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and <\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cItz Ova\u201d (featuring Snypa)<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, and it was met with mixed reactions from fans. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The songs which were a mix of techno-pop and heartbreak went viral almost instantly. Not necessarily because they were chart-toppers, but because they sparked endless debate. Fans were divided over the songs so much so that while some hyped her confidence, others weren\u2019t exactly gentle with their feedback.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Still, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2025\/07\/24\/dont-waste-time-fasting-praying-for-tonto-dikeh-drops-hard-hitting-advise-on-hustle-and-wisdom\/\">Tonto<\/a> was unbothered. By <\/span><span class=\"s1\">2013<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, she dropped more singles like <\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u201cJeje\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, <\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u201cSheba\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> (featuring Solid Star), and <\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u201cEkebe.\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> Then, in <\/span><span class=\"s1\">2014<\/span><span class=\"s2\">, she made a major move by <\/span><span class=\"s1\">signing with D\u2019banj\u2019s DB Records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Under DB Records, Tonto aka \u201cPoko Lee\u201d released <\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cSugar Rush\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> featuring D\u2019banj himself, and even hinted that an <\/span><span class=\"s3\">explosive album<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> was on the way.
