Days after top Nigerian billionaire and Businessman, Obi Cubana revealed his intentions towards aiding<\/strong> Yul Edochie<\/strong><\/a> in his presidential ambition, the actor, has revealed why he resigned from his government appointment to support former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in 2019.<\/p>\n

Recall that Atiku contested for Nigerian Presidency during the 2019 elections under the Peoples Democratic Party.<\/p>\n

In his latest post, Edochie stated that he supported Atiku<\/a> because he wanted a positive turn around for Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Edochie wrote, \u201cIn 2019, I supported Atiku for President. I did it with my full chest, proudly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t do it for money. I was not paid to do it. May God punish me if I lie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI even resigned from my Government appointment then so I could give Atiku my full support without any hindrance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did it because I want a positive turn around in our country. I \u2018atikulated\u2019 social media. I \u2018atikulated\u2019 the whole of Anambra State. I \u2018atikulated\u2019 all Nigerian youths who believed in me to stand with Atiku. Unfortunately, it turned out the way it did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Edochie\u2019s support for Atiku, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) of the All Progressives Congress emerged as the winner of the election.<\/p>\n

In the forthcoming 2023 election, Edochie had stated that he wished to run for Presidency and in his post, asked Atiku for support.<\/p>\n

Edochie said, \u201cThis time around, it\u2019s the turn of the South East to produce the next President. And I have declared my interest to run for President of Nigeria, 2023.<\/p>\n
