Nigerian rapper, Mo\u2019Cheddah, has taken to social media to share her challenges as a pregnant woman.
\nThe 31-year-old singer and digital creator penned down a lengthy note wherein she recounted how she had hyperemesis gravidarum during the first 25 weeks of pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Hyperemesis gravidarum is the medical term for severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mo\u2019Cheddah said she was bedridden for several weeks and could barely speak or open her eyes as all she was capable of doing was to breathe.<\/p>\n

The rapper also said \u201cI feel like I was dying and getting the life sucked out of me\u201d because she could not bear the pain.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had hyperemesis gravidarum for the first 25 weeks of pregnancy, and when I tell you, it is the hardest thing I have ever experienced in life, and I doubt any-other thing can be more challenging or more painful,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was bedridden for weeks and could barely open my eyes and talk. All I could do was breathe.
\n\u201cI threw up 10-15 times a day. I won\u2019t call it throwing up; it was an exorcism where i felt like a sick volcano needed to erupt way too often. I couldn\u2019t eat or drink anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll through, I have had the worst heartburn, indigestion, constipation, acid reflux coupled with the worst pelvic pain that started at 6weeks ( cue in my voice over artist voice).<\/p>\n

\u201cBetween the big, painful agbalumo looking boils, Wicklow, sore eyes, and teeth, it was hard to remain grateful.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow did something I wanted so much become the most painful experience of my life?<\/p>\n

\u201cI cried a lot from the pain, and I cried because I felt terrible for feeling so awful because I just couldn\u2019t see past the pain.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it can\u2019t be easy growing life, but why did I feel like I was dying and getting the life sucked out of me. Why didn\u2019t I know what was wrong with me? Why do they call it morning sickness when you feel sick every damn second.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy is my doctor telling me this is normal! It\u2019s not normal! Why do I see new mums write how happy they are and how it is the most beautiful experience when I Don\u2019t feel that way. Growing a human is mind-blowing, and a miracle, but know it is hard.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like a broken record, I feel like I\u2019m complaining but this is my reality. I had HG for 25 weeks when most women have it all through pregnancy. I\u2019m sending love to every woman that has ever felt this way. Well done, mama.\u201d
\nThe fashion designer accompanied the post with a picture of herself on a couch caressing the pregnancy bump.<\/p>\n
