Bright Okpocha, professionally known as Basketmouth, a Nigerian comedian, has said that the arrest of a skit maker, De General, was a waste of taxpayers’ money.<\/p>\n

The skit creator, who was born Sunday Joshua, was earlier arrested by officers from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, who invaded his home in the early hours of Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The skit maker acknowledged to owning tramadol and cannabis drug exhibits seized in his residence, according to an official statement from the agency.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the arrest, Basketmouth took to his Instagram<\/a> story to state that De General\u2019s arrest was a waste of taxpayers\u2019 money.<\/p>\n

In a video he shared, the comedian made reference to the mugshot which the skit maker took at the NDLEA custody.<\/p>\n

Basketmouth pointed out that De General was found with little quantity of weed which he snapped with.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cDon\u2019t get me wrong, I\u2019m not supporting the use of marijuana, I don\u2019t do such. I\u2019ll never do such a thing but what I\u2019m saying is that you people are wasting tax payers\u2019 money to go and arrest someone with small pinch of \u2018igbo\u2019. You just wasted my money now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NDLEA, however, revealed that the drug exhibits found in De General\u2019s home include \u201ccannabis sativa; tramadol 225mg, and some paraphernalia for drug use.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
