He said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI have not picked that character called Suliyat, I\u2019ve not picked that character called Jenifa. I\u2019ve picked Funke Akindele who is an entrepreneur, who is a Lagosian, who has been able to grow her business from zero to the success it is today, who understands what it takes to put heads together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cEven the ruling party calling us unserious because I picked somebody in that industry, once gave their ticket to Desmond Elliot in the same industry. But the main problem is the conspiracy of silence in the Nollywood industry.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Adediran also accused the Lagos State government of pulling down his campaign posters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He claimed the state government, through the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASSA), \u201cthreatened\u201d two advert companies handling his campaign posters to pull them down or have their licenses withdrawn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2022\/06\/30\/prison-to-palace-how-funke-akindele-an-ex-convict-now-separated-runs-for-deputy-gov-in-the-same-state\/\">Funke Akindele\u2019s announcement as Jandor\u2019s running mate was met with mixed reactions from Nigerians<\/a>.
