Clearing the air on his ‘Gold chain’ statement and other issues<\/a>, Steve, who sat for an interview with Daddy Freeze, alongside Kizz Daniel\u2019s brother, Uthman Anidugbe, disclosed that there were pressing technical issues that stopped the Nigerian singer from performing.<\/p>\nOn Daddy Freeze\u2019s question on why he claimed Kizz Daniel refused to perform because of his gold chain, Steve defended himself by saying \u201cemotions were high that night.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the session, After the singer\u2019s brother disclosed that he was not paid in full, Steven claimed that the $60,000 he said earlier was paid, was not paid to Kizz Daniel directly but to an agency managed by music executive, Paul Okoye.<\/p>\n
The show promoter also admitted that the singer tried to salvage the situation and also meet with fans to apologize and postpone the show after arriving for the event 1 hour before his performance, following an 8-hour flight delay in Kenya.<\/p>\n
According to him, the show promoters said there was no need for that as they would take care of it, but never did.<\/p>\n
The Singer’s brother who revealed that the contract for the show allowed for it to be postponed, added that Kizz Daniel also offered to pay for a hall and for other things to ensure that the show was successful if postponed, which the show promoters agreed to.<\/p>\n
In his defence, Steve admitted that they were trying not to have any issues with the authorities or sabotage the image of their business since they were just starting out as concert promoters.<\/p>\n
According to him, he didn\u2019t know how to explain to the fans that the concert had been postponed.<\/p>\n
