{"id":96521,"date":"2022-09-08T20:17:35","date_gmt":"2022-09-08T20:17:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/?p=96521"},"modified":"2022-09-08T20:17:35","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T20:17:35","slug":"im-in-pain-veteran-actor-charles-olumo-agbako-cries-for-help-over-strange-illness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2022\/09\/08\/im-in-pain-veteran-actor-charles-olumo-agbako-cries-for-help-over-strange-illness\/","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019m in pain \u2013 Veteran actor, Charles Olumo Agbako cries for help over strange illness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Nollywood veteran actor, Alhaji Abdulsalam Sanyaolu professional known as Charles Olumo Agbako, has cried for help over a terrible sickness he is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/entertainment\/2022\/07\/08\/veteran-actress-adenike-adegboye-battles-undisclosed-illness\/\">currently battling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a recent interview with BBC News Yoruba, the 98-year-old legendary actor revealed that his sickness started years ago to the extent that he was rushed to the hospital and underwent a surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Charles Olumo also disclosed that the pain returned excessively after the surgery was done successfully, stating he returned to the hospital where drugs were prescribed to reduce the pain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Moving on, Charles Olumo Agbako disclosed that he had difficulty defecating again and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors revealed to him that his first surgery was not done properly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">However, he disclosed that he had been on medications to reduce the pain and had spent a lot. In his words:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI notice I couldn\u2019t defecate with ease. This made one of my sons take me to the hospital, and the doctor said I would have to undergo surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWhen I went back to complain, they prescribed some drugs to reduce pain and heal the wound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cSo fast forward to this year, I discover I find it difficult to defecate again, then I rush to the hospital, but it\u2019s so sad I was told the sickness is back and worst because the first surgery was not properly done!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI have since been on medications to reduce the pain, and I have spent a lot.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that\u2019s Charles Olumo Agbako strongly warned his colleagues against shedding crocodile tears at his burial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">4 years ago, the thespian granted an interview where he said:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201dI have told them, and I\u2019m also using this opportunity to inform them, that nobody should come and shed crocodile tears at my burial. If they do, my spirit will flog them because when I needed their help, they were nowhere to be found.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI have been sick but thank God I\u2019m back on my feet. My ailment was heart-related, and after a series of tests, I was told that my heart was weak, coupled with the fact that I often forgot things, so I was placed on drugs that must be used to avoid any crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cNo, the doctors said there was no way they could perform surgery on me. They said the drugs were very essential and must not be skipped.
