A video of a woman brutally assaulting a 5 year old child has made it way online thereby causing outrage.
It was later revealed that the woman in the video was 25-year-old Patience Uwimana, and the child was her 5-year-old son Alfred Ssebandeke.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the act of child abuse took place in Bwuuma zone, Kyazanga Trading Centre, Lwengo District, Uganda. While the incident took place on Feb. 8, the video was posted online on March 10.
Following the release of the video on social media, Ugandans have demanded action from authorities.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the woman has been arrested, expelled from her village, and the mother of two has also been sentenced to two years in prison. It was also revealed that the woman has previously been convicted for attempted murder.
