Police officers allegedly beat DELSU graduate to death for refusing owning a gun

Police officers allegedly beat a microbiology graduate of Delta State University, Abraka, Oghenetejiri Omiragua aka TJ to death for refusing owning a gun.

It was gathered that officers attached to the RRS in Asaba, Delta State committed the crime on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

According to a Facebook source, Ajb Innocenty, “They arrested this guy and his girlfriend at a hotel gate in Asaba.

“Then they asked him to admit to owning a gun which he vehemently refused and he was brutally beaten till he died.

“After killing him, they took his girlfriend (who had earlier written in a statement that she was from Lagos) to the motorpark and gave her money to leave Delta state and never return. They proceeded to dump his corpse in an unknown location.

“Unfortunately for the policemen, the girlfriend of the deceased didn’t travel but instead went back and informed TJ’s friends about the whole ordeal.

“The police denied that such ever happened until they were petitioned by a lawyer and they said he died from an ailment,” a source said.
