A young girl has been apprehended after she gave a baby under her care bleach to drink.
The girl who has been identified as Mmesoma, said she was promised twenty thousand naira (N20,000) by one Chisom to carry out the deadly act of killing the baby.
According to her, Chisom promised to give her the money after the baby must have been confirmed dead.
During the interrogation, Mmesoma also revealed that she knows the baby’s mother but denied doing same thing to other babies under her care in the past.
