Police reportedly arrest Twitter users in Ilorin

Following the ban of social networking site, Twitter, by the FG through the office of the Minister of Information, Police officers in Ilorin, Kwara state have been accused of arresting Twitter users in the state.

An unidentified resident in the state contacted a Twitter influencer identified as @BlvckDotun, who made the report on the platform.

This comes after Attorney General and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami, ordered the arrest and prosecution of any Nigerian seen using Twitter.

According to the yet to be identified fellow, Police officers arrested his friends in Tanke Oke Odo, Ilorin after checking their phones and seeing the Twitter app.

He also said that policemen are also checking phones of random people under Agege bridge in Lagos state to see if they have the Twitter app.
