Queen Elizabeth’s funeral: Video of King Charles allegedly snubbing handshake from black man sparks debate

The newly crowned King of England, King Charles III’s encounter with a black man during his mother’s burial, has ignited debate on social media.

In a clip making the rounds online, the monarch allegedly skipped over and ignored the handshake from the African man who was among the crowd at Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral on Monday, 19th September.

The video sparked outrage on social media with many people questioning what the black man was doing at the event.

Some claimed it was not a deliberate gesture from the King, they referenced other photos and videos where Charles III appeared greeting and shaking hands with black people.

While the majority think King Charles deliberately looked away, and opined that the new King might be a staunch ‘Racist’.

The vice president was sighted with other world leaders at the ceremony to pay his final respect to the departed monarch.

Osinbajo departed Nigeria for London, the United Kingdom on Saturday, September 17.

He is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with the United Kingdom foreign secretary, James Cleverly, before his return to Nigeria.
