Sowore bashed over comment on Buhari in Nigerian Army Uniform

Controversial politician and human rights activist, Comrade Omoyele Sowore, has come under heavy criticism following his comment on President Muhammadu Buhari’s parade in military regalia.

Buhari, on Thursday, attended the Nigerian Army Trooping and Presentation of Colours parade 2023 in a military uniform.

The President was dressed in the Nigerian Army Ceremonial regalia, decorated with the rank of a Field Marshal, as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces mounting the ceremonial Range rover to inspect the parade consisting of over 300 officers and 1000 soldiers.

In line with the provision of Nigeria’s Constitution, President Muhammadu Buhari will end his second and final term in office on May 29.

Sharing a picture of Buhari at the event with a ‘cancelled’ sign in it, Sowore, via his Instagram page, lambasted the President as he prepares to leave office. He wrote;

Never Again! No blood thirsty, incompetent coward should ever be allowed to put on a Nigerian Army Uniform #RevolutionNow”

Sowore’s post has been met with dragging from many social media users who took to his comment section to air their thoughts.
