Nigerians were undoubtedly overjoyed by the outcome of the football match against South Africa on Wednesday, 7th February with the Super Eagles winning on penalties after a suspense-filled 1-1 draw.

Be it as it may, Nigerian shot-stopper, Stanley Nwabali stepped up and made some crucial saves during the shootout which helped Nigeria cruise to the AFCON final.

Celebrations subsequently hit the globe as Nigerians worldwide couldn’t contain their excitement and enthusiasm.

Residents of Rivers State subsequently trooped to the goalie’s father’s home last night to celebrate the win.

A video shows a large number of people jubilating as they moved to Nwabali’s dad’s house to hail the goalkeeper for his outstanding performance.

The clip has generated a lot of comments from netizens with many gushing over the proud moment.

So far, Nwabali has conceded only two goals in the AFCON tournament and Nigeria is set to take on Ivory Coast on Feb 11th for the final.
