The Nigeria Police Force has responded to a disturbing viral video that shows some of its officers forcefully entering a private residence in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, sparking outrage and allegations of attempted robbery.
The video, which surfaced online over the weekend, was posted by a user identified as Michael (@MichaelFrosh32) on X (formerly Twitter).

The short clip has since gone viral, with netizens expressing fear over growing incidents of unlawful police entries. Some users likened the conduct to home invasions, while others urged the police hierarchy to identify and sanction the officers if found guilty of misconduct.
In a swift response, the Nigeria Police Complaint Response Unit acknowledged the video and assured the public that the matter would be investigated.
Using its official X handle, the unit reached out directly to Michael, requesting further details that could help in launching a full inquiry into the incident.
The response read: “Dear #MichaelFrosh32, kindly provide more details via DM, thank you for bringing this to the attention of the Police Force. #NoToImpunity.”
