Popular social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse aka Verydarkman (VDM) has drawn national attention to a disturbing video circulating online showing primary school children abducted and held hostage at gunpoint.
In the footage, the terrified children are seen weeping uncontrollably in a forested area, forced to hold human skulls believed to be from previous victims. The video contains their desperate pleas for help, specifically calling on Nigerians and their parents to intervene and pay their ransom.

According to Verydarkman, the abduction occurred within Edo State, further exposing the deepening security crisis in the region. He expressed outrage over the continued wave of kidnappings and the dangers facing innocent children.
Verydarkman urged the immediate intervention of President Bola Tinubu, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, other Top security officials as well as Edo State Governor Godwin Okpebholo.
He criticized the Edo State government for its inadequate response to the rising security threats, directly called on Governor Okpebholo to step up efforts to protect citizens and dismantle kidnapper networks.
VDM emphasized that the focus of current political leaders should be protecting Nigerians rather than the 2027 elections. He described the security failures as deeply troubling, especially concerning the safety of children.
This disturbing event underscores the urgent need for coordinated security strategies nationwide by the state and federal government, security agencies to protect vulnerable communities and end kidnappings.

This is coming days after VeryDarkMan led mourners in Anambra in honour of late entrepreneur Ifesinachi Onyekere, widely known as Fish Magnet.
In a video that has now gone viral, VeryDarkMan was seen with a large crowd of sympathisers at Aroma Junction, a central point in the state capital.
Clad in black, the mourners gathered and reportedly walked in silence for close to an hour from Aroma through to the Ring Road, where the late Fish Magnet’s business outlet is located.
