Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have arrested a suspected bandits’ informant, who disguised as a woman.<\/p>\n

According to a Facebook user, Umar Abduladi Jibia, the suspect was nabbed at the Katsina State Transport Authority (KSTA) station in Jibia Local Government Area on Friday, August 26.<\/p>\n

The arrest of the suspected bandits’ informant is coming a day after bandits<\/a> blocked the Katsina-Jibia Road and kidnapped a yet-to-be specified number of passengers, killing one.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that a 40-year-old man suspected to be a bandits\u2019 informant was arrested<\/a> by the police in Faskari LGA of Katsina State.<\/p>\n

The state police public relations officer, Gambo Isah, said the suspect confessed that he was in the employment of the bandits.<\/p>\n

The statement reads, \u201cOn Aug 12, a 40-year-old man, resident of Godiya village, in Faskari LGA, was overheard discussing with a notorious bandits\u2019 leader, Ado Buji on phone, and was strongly suspected by the community to be an informant of the bandits.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to the crime and stated that some time ago he was given N800,000 to buy essential needs for the bandits in their camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect also stated that another 35-year-old man, a resident of Ruwan Godiya village, in Faskari LGA was the one who introduced him to the bandits\u2019 leader, Buji. He was later traced and arrested.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
