{"id":13458,"date":"2022-09-12T18:06:49","date_gmt":"2022-09-12T18:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/?p=13458"},"modified":"2022-09-12T18:06:49","modified_gmt":"2022-09-12T18:06:49","slug":"someone-should-donate-a-kidney-for-me-in-the-name-of-god-ike-ekweremadus-daughter-begs-nigerians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2022\/09\/12\/someone-should-donate-a-kidney-for-me-in-the-name-of-god-ike-ekweremadus-daughter-begs-nigerians\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Someone should donate a kidney for me in the name of God\u201d \u2013 Ike Ekweremadu\u2019s daughter begs Nigerians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sonia Ekweremadu, daughter of the former Nigerian Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has appealed to any Nigerian to assist her with a kidney donation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/amp\/s\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/06\/23\/alleged-organ-harvesting-ekweremadus-daughter-suffering-from-kidney-failure-report\/%3famp=1\">WITHIN NIGERIA<\/a>\u00a0had reported that the 60-year-old senator and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka, were arrested by the British police on June 23 on allegations of human trafficking and organ harvesting that violates the country\u2019s Modern Slavery Act.<\/p>\n<p>Metropolitan police had accused the lawmaker of conspiring to bring a child to the United Kingdom for organ harvesting, saying the victim is a 15-year-old boy.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Sonia who has been diagnosed with kidney disease for three years, via her Instagram page appealed to Nigerians to donate kidney to help her survive.
