Desmond Elliot, a veteran actor, and politician has finally revealed who he was referring to as children during the #ENDSARS protest in October 2020.<\/p>\n

According to the politician, his statement was not directed at all Nigerian youths, but rather at a group of teenagers who were tweeting at the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Musashiru Obasa.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker, who begged forgiveness, said the backlash from the remark was too much for him.<\/p>\n

Remember that Elliot was dragged on social media after being accused of referring to youths as children while advocating for social media regulation.<\/p>\n

In an interview with TVC’s ‘Your View,<\/a>‘ Elliot insisted that he was not referring to all youths on social media as children, but only those who cursed Mudashiru Obasa.<\/p>\n

He said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t referring to everybody as children. It was the people that were on my Mr. Speaker\u2019s handle, that were talking to Mr. Speaker, I was referring to, and not everybody. And truly, they were teenagers, when I clicked on those who were cursing at Mr. Speaker. And that\u2019s exactly what I said. But I\u2019m sorry again.<\/em><\/p>\n
