{"id":18271,"date":"2023-08-04T09:29:35","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T09:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/?p=18271"},"modified":"2023-08-04T09:29:35","modified_gmt":"2023-08-04T09:29:35","slug":"colleague-shares-heartbreaking-last-words-of-doctor-who-died-in-elevator-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2023\/08\/04\/colleague-shares-heartbreaking-last-words-of-doctor-who-died-in-elevator-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Colleague shares heartbreaking last words of doctor who died in elevator accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Late Doctor Vwaere Diaso&#8217;s colleague shares last encounter with her before she gave up<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>She stated that the incident happened right in front of her on the 1st of August.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>She revealed that Vwaere had gone down through the elevator to pick up something from a dispatch rider when the incident happened<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The late doctor Vwaere Diaso&#8217;s colleague has shared her heartbreaking encounter and final words before she died in an elevator.<\/p>\n<p>At the Lagos Island General Hospital, Odan, an elevator accident claimed the life of late Vwaere Diaso, a medical doctor who was two weeks away from finishing her housemanship.<\/p>\n<p>Using the Twitter handle @LaseMoye, Vwaere&#8217;s colleague described how the sad event took place in front of her on August 1st.<\/p>\n<p>In a tweet, Moye claimed that Vwaere was in the elevator when it plummeted from the 10th level as she was descending to the lower floor to pick up a meal delivery from a dispatch rider.<\/p>\n<p>Moye stated that she punched the elevator&#8217;s open button but did not enter since she was on a video conversation.<\/p>\n<p>The next thing she heard was a loud crash to the floor, which caused the dispatch rider who had brought Vwaere&#8217;s food to flee the building.<\/p>\n<p>She said that an alarm was sounded because Vwaere was in the elevator, and they began looking for ways to get her out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<strong><em>They tried to use rods to open it, to be sure it wasn\u2019t a joke. They finally opened it and the sight was gruesome. Muffled sounds of excruciating pain and agony became apparent<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI remember telling her to relax that help is coming, she said \u201cDon\u2019t tell me to relax, tell them to get me out of here\u201d. We eventually got her out and she kept saying she thinks she\u2019ll die<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cEmergency care was almost zero and inside a hospital for that matter. There was no blood in the hospital. \u201cShe was eventually wheeled out but she was already weak and kept saying \u201dI don\u2019t want to die\u201d.
