{"id":19097,"date":"2023-09-18T06:23:44","date_gmt":"2023-09-18T06:23:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/?p=19097"},"modified":"2023-09-18T06:49:15","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T06:49:15","slug":"apc-chieftain-attacks-ondo-commissioner-over-subsidy-palliative-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2023\/09\/18\/apc-chieftain-attacks-ondo-commissioner-over-subsidy-palliative-video\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Chieftain fights Ondo commissioner over subsidy palliative -VIDEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Ondo commissioner, Adebunmi Osadahun became a victim of physical assault over subsidy palliative.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>According to the report, Osadahun was attacked by an APC Chieftain, Olumide Awolumate for not including his name in the list of beneficiaries of the palliative in Arigidi.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The fight was a fierce one, leading to Awolumate using a chair to hit Osadahun&#8217;s head.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2021\/11\/26\/young-couple-found-dead-in-a-toilet-in-ondo-state\/\"><strong>Ondo state<\/strong> <\/a>commissioner for women affairs and social development, Adebunmi Osadahun, has been attacked over distribution of federal government palliative in Akoko Northwest local government area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Osadahun was reportedly attacked by a chieftain of the\u00a0All Progressives Congress (APC), Olumide Awolumate, for removing his name from the beneficiaries of the palliative in Arigidi.<\/p>\n<p>A viral video showed how the party leader popularly called Cuba engaged the commissioner in a public fisticuff.<\/p>\n<p>In an attempt for the commissioner to charge at Cuba, he used a chair to hit her head and also attempt to raise a table before he was stopped.<\/p>\n<p>In the video, the head of the Commiasioner was seen swollen.<\/p>\n<p>Sources said Awolumate, who is the APC Ward 1 chairman, was saddened that his name was removed from the beneficiaries of the palliative of the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>Another source who witnessed the fracas said the commissioner reported the assault on her to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) but told her he was not around.<\/p>\n<p>The source said policemen on duty did nothing to prevent the fracas.<\/p>\n<p>Watch the video below:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/CxTQ8BINmJc\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; We have 1,200 bags of rice for Akoko South East and we are targeting\u00a0 6,000 households in the local government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have selected the most vulnerable households but based on our experience while we are drawing the list, we have seen that we will go very far. We have Muslim community, Christian Association, Market women, traders association, tailoring association, and Iyalojas among others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been very diligent in making this selection. We will learn a lot of lessons from the distribution.
