{"id":19796,"date":"2023-10-23T22:01:10","date_gmt":"2023-10-23T22:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/?p=19796"},"modified":"2023-10-23T22:09:51","modified_gmt":"2023-10-23T22:09:51","slug":"i-paid-davido-n218m-to-influence-my-soccer-project-he-ran-away-with-my-money-businessman-calls-out-singer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2023\/10\/23\/i-paid-davido-n218m-to-influence-my-soccer-project-he-ran-away-with-my-money-businessman-calls-out-singer\/","title":{"rendered":"I paid Davido N218m to influence my soccer project, he ran away with my money &#8211; Businessman calls out Singer"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>In a blistering online rant, the renowned photographer, Abu Salami laid into Davido, accusing him of pocketing a substantial amount of cash to give his project a boost, but didn&#8217;t hold up his end of the bargain.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He claimed to have forked out a staggering N218 million to OBO, but the job went up in smoke, leaving him high and dry.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Salami said he didn&#8217;t only lose sponsors, but also facing lawsuit for failing to deliver the football project as initially envisioned.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In a bombshell revelation, renowned Nigerian Photographer and Businessman, Abu Salami, has publicly called out the prominent singer, Davido, for failing to uphold his end of the deal.<\/p>\n<p>Abu Salami claimed to have forked over a jaw-dropping N218 million to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2023\/10\/18\/kids-cause-buzz-as-they-recreate-chioma-and-davidos-viral-twins-video\/\">the DMW Boss to<\/a> influence a football project for kids.<\/p>\n<p>Salami didn&#8217;t mince words in his extensive tirade, highlighting that the singer not only reneged on the project but also refused to reimburse the funds. To make matters worse, he alleges that he&#8217;s facing intimidation from the singer&#8217;s legal team and entourage.<\/p>\n<p>Abu Salami claims he had already paid Davido a hefty sum, a whopping N218 million out of a N326 million project. He had even scheduled a day and embarked on a nationwide tour across 20 states with an 11-men production crew to unearth young football talents, only for Davido to back out.<\/p>\n<p>Salami averred that Davido&#8217;s abrupt cancellation alone set him back a whopping 42 million naira. He went on to mention how he implored the singer to promote the project commercials, which ultimately ended up being filmed in Davido&#8217;s garden due to stadium restrictions.
