{"id":2951,"date":"2021-04-13T19:10:44","date_gmt":"2021-04-13T19:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/?p=2951"},"modified":"2021-04-13T20:16:57","modified_gmt":"2021-04-13T20:16:57","slug":"3-year-old-child-with-brain-tumor-dies-after-her-mother-absconded-with-n3m-donated-for-surgery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2021\/04\/13\/3-year-old-child-with-brain-tumor-dies-after-her-mother-absconded-with-n3m-donated-for-surgery\/","title":{"rendered":"3-year-old child with brain tumor dies after her mother absconded with N3m donated for surgery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A sick child has reportedly died today, April 13, after her mother allegedly absconded with N3m donated by a well meaning individual for her surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Nuhu Fulani kwajafa, the National Coordinator of Global initiative for Peace, Love and Care, GIPLC, made this known.<\/p>\n<p>Nuhu Fulani kwajafa disclosed on Facebook, that the 3-year-old girl, Ada was suffering from brain tumor and needed to undergo surgery.<\/p>\n<p>A donor had paid the money into the account number of the child&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2021\/03\/30\/video-mother-of-two-stomps-slams-5-year-old-to-the-ground-multiple-times\/\">mother<\/a> as he was not comfortable with NGOs.<\/p>\n<p>Below is how he reported the story:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Last month we had a case of a 3yr old girl with a brain tumor who needed N3m for surgery. A donor insisted on paying the money to the account of the mother, stating that he\u2019s not comfortable with NGOs,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We initially wanted him to pay directly to the hospital, but that was not possible because 80% of medical materials needed for the surgery has to be bought outside the hospital. Eventually the donor credited the mother&#8217;s account, and the mother absconded with the N3m. Sadly, the child died this morning.
