{"id":10089,"date":"2021-03-18T12:48:40","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T11:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=10089"},"modified":"2021-03-18T12:48:40","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T11:48:40","slug":"my-son-is-on-a-sojourn-to-the-gay-community-for-gods-purpose-doyin-okupe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/18\/my-son-is-on-a-sojourn-to-the-gay-community-for-gods-purpose-doyin-okupe\/","title":{"rendered":"My son is on a sojourn to the gay community for God&#8217;s purpose &#8211; Doyin Okupe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, says his gay son, Bolu, is on a sojourn to the LGBTQ community where he will be an instrument of God.<\/p>\n<p>Okupe stated this in an interview with VanguardLiveTV.<\/p>\n<p>He said the family had always known that Bolu had the tendency for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/02\/02\/lawyer-to-doyin-okupe-no-amount-of-prayer-can-change-your-sons-sexual-orientation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">homosexuality<\/a> and that his greatest mistake was to send him to extremely liberal society like France.<\/p>\n<p>The 68-year-old politician also said that he cried the day he found out that Bolu, who came out as a gay man in January 2021 is queer.<\/p>\n<p>Okupe said \u201cWe\u2019ve always known that Bolu was like that. He\u2019s even much more than that. He\u2019s incredible with what he does and capable of doing. All his other siblings are one but Bolu had designed his mind to never live in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unfortunately for me, his mother took him abroad very early. He did major parts of his secondary school in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So, Bolu thinks he lives European (he\u2019s my son) but his mind is European. I also know that he\u2019s easily influenced by his environment. I know that for a fact because he came home one time for holiday, and this is the person that\u2019s been questioning the Bible but all of a sudden, he\u2019s on fire in terms of scripture having spent some months in Nigeria. His elder brother who is a pastor now helped him spiritually during that time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I made the greatest mistake to send him to France because that\u2019s an extremely liberal society. So, the family had known that Bolu had that tendency. The day I knew, I wept. (I) have gone past that. We\u2019re just praying for him but I also know that, God\u2019s ways are not our ways, and He knows the beginning from the end. Mark my words, he (Bolu) is on sojourn to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/03\/16\/lgbtq-community-react-to-vatican-news-order-for-priests-not-to-bless-gay-marriages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gay community<\/a> in order to be an instrument of God to that community eventually.
