{"id":106290,"date":"2021-11-12T12:57:56","date_gmt":"2021-11-12T11:57:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=106290"},"modified":"2021-11-12T12:57:56","modified_gmt":"2021-11-12T11:57:56","slug":"suspected-armed-robbers-arrested-for-allegedly-snatching-money-from-yola-bank-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/12\/suspected-armed-robbers-arrested-for-allegedly-snatching-money-from-yola-bank-customers\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspected armed robbers arrested for allegedly snatching money from Yola bank customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three suspected armed robbers who specialize in trailing their victims from the bank and disposing them of their money have been arrested by the police in Adamawa state.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, who disclosed this in a statement states that on November 11, operatives of the Command attached to the Crack squad, arrested the three <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/07\/18\/notorious-one-chance-robbers-arrested-in-abuja\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">notorious robbers<\/a> during a confidence-building patrol along Bank road, in Jimeta, Yola North local government.<\/p>\n<p>Nguroje gave the names of the suspects as Sirajo Muhammed 40years a resident of Yankaji, Jos North local government, Plateau state, Benjamin John 48years a resident of Namso street, Sabon Tasha, Kaduna South local government, Kaduna state, and Mustapha Abubakar 45years,a resident of zoo road, Kumboso local government, Kano state.<\/p>\n<p>He said the suspects had on October 21 monitored and trailed one Hajiya Ajuji Umar, a female, after cashing the sum of Two million five hundred thousand naira from a commercial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/10\/14\/police-arrest-two-suspected-bank-fraudsters-in-jigawa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bank<\/a> to a certain house along tsohon Kasuwa and eventually stole the said amount from her car few minutes after she parked the vehicle in front of a certain house, using master key.<\/p>\n<p>The police PRO added that similarly on November 8 and 9, the same syndicate trailed their targets Abubakar Umar Wambai and Alhaji Yusuf Muhammed and from two different commercial banks and stole from their cars N400,000 and 3.9 million respectively, using Master key and spray chemical.<\/p>\n<p>He added that investigation that led to their arrest equally reveals that the suspects have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/09\/03\/nigerian-jailed-in-us-for-stealing-from-covid-19-relief-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stealing<\/a> from people&#8217;s cars especially those coming out of Banks, Cattle Markets and other Business Centres in and around Yola North and South.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect will be arraigned in court on the completion of the investigation by the police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three suspected armed robbers who specialize in trailing their victims from the bank and disposing them of their money have been arrested by the police in Adamawa state.
