Oyo State Government on Friday announced that it has suspended no fewer than three teachers over alleged sexual harassment of students.<\/p>\n
The three teachers were teaching at Oyo state basic school, Ogbomoso prior to their suspension.<\/p>\n
The state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Rahman Abdu-Raheem made these revelations in a statement on Friday night.<\/p>\n
He was reacting to a viral video which revealed some atrocities in the school.<\/p>\n
He said that the state government has ordered immediate suspension of three teachers who allegedly harassed some students in the school.<\/p>\n
The commissioner in addition, explained that the Headteacher of the school and the Principal, Oyo State Training School for the Blind have been transferred.<\/p>\n
He added that the government took the decision in order to address the situation.<\/p>\n
The commissioner while speaking further, explained that a four-man investigative panel has been set up to investigate the matter<\/p>\n
Abdu-Raheem who spoke further, warned Principals, Head- Teachers and other staff members to desist from acts that can jeopardize the efforts of the state government.<\/p>\n
He assured parents and other stakeholders of constant unannounced monitoring of all schools in the state.<\/p>\n
He then \u201curged parents, students and other relevant stakeholders to support and partner with this government.<\/p>\n
The affected Head-teacher according to him is Mrs Adebiyi Racheal, while the Principal is Mrs. Akanbi Oluwaseun.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
