{"id":115286,"date":"2021-12-02T11:36:55","date_gmt":"2021-12-02T10:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=115286"},"modified":"2021-12-02T11:36:55","modified_gmt":"2021-12-02T10:36:55","slug":"kidnappers-are-now-considered-terrorists-malami","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/02\/kidnappers-are-now-considered-terrorists-malami\/","title":{"rendered":"Kidnappers are now considered terrorists &#8211; Malami"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has said kidnappers just like bandits have also been declared as terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/26\/abuja-court-proscribes-bandit-groups-declares-them-terrorists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">declared activities of Yan Bindiga and Yan Ta\u2019adda bandit groups as acts of terrorism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The ruling had followed an ex parte motion filed by the Director of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Mohammed Abubakar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/26\/malami-reacts-to-court-ruling-on-banditry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Malami<\/a> said the recent court declaration had been gazetted and would soon be published. He also disclosed that all the relevant security agencies had been notified.<\/p>\n<p>He made this known while appearing on Politics Today, a current affairs programme on Channels Television on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is in the process of being gazetted but the order has been procured and obtained. It is being gazetted and publication will come up very soon. If you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/12\/01\/bandits-kidnap-katsina-village-head-and-his-wife\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kidnap<\/a> using force, using arms, you are qualified as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/11\/27\/gumi-reacts-to-declaration-of-bandits-as-terrorists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">terrorist<\/a> within the dictates and determination and the judicial decision done by the court.
